The Final Flog :(

Guys! I'm sad Flog is over! It was seriously so fun making these videos. I kind of want to make a video a month. Leah? What are your thoughts? Do you care to host a monthly video link-up?  I feel like this turned out a lot better than I thought it would! So, let me know what you think. :)



Also, in case you don't want to watch the video, here are some pictures. I had my camera set up on a tripod, and my niece came in and wanted to take some pictures. I think she did pretty good for a 4 year old ;)

A Happy List: 78

Finding a little girl with a 40% (LOL) wolf puppy in the corner of Sears. / My mom was showing me the back of a shirt she was trying on, and she did a little bum pop hahaha. / Hitting snooze at 6:00, but then waking up at 6:57. / Jake came home a night early from his camping trip. I was having a conversation with my mom that I felt strongly about. When Jake came in I was just overwhelmed from going from such a sad emotion to such a strong emotion in mere seconds that I cried. / Getting a bonus at work. / Trixie sitting up like a human and cuddling with me. / Keeping up with our Monday night tradition of froyo. / Sleeping with my twinkle lights on. / Fresh, clean laundry. / My hair length. 

My mom: "I just don't know about Gerard Butler. He's done some really stupid movies, so now I'm thinking maybe he's an idiot."

Me: "Mom, who would you rather date: Gerard Butler or Jean Val Jean?"

My mom: "JEAN VAL JEAN! *sings* 24601!!!!!!!!"

It was a good week, aside from Jake being gone camping :( I realized that he regulates my sleep schedule! I didn't go to bed until midnight or later every night haha. I'm glad he's home!

New Look!

Guys, what are we thinking of this new website? Are we loving it or hating it? I decided to refresh things a little bit. We have been customizing websites at my job and it's been making me hungry to do some serious TLC in this space. Anyway, let me know if it's looking weird on whatever device you're using. My Morning Routine: Flog #3

Ok you guys. Let me tell you a story. So, my GoPro died recording this the first time. Then, I decided to do a car lip sync video to all my favorite slow jams (awesome, I know). My GoPro didn't record it!!! So, I decided just to use the morning footage from my first video? I know that's stupid and boring, but I don't have a lot of time to record vidoes these days haha. So, enjoy. Also, I know I am doing my makeup wrong so don't shame me lol.

A Thank You

This is my 8th time trying to write this post. I have been sitting her for around an hour. I keep writing stuff, then deleting it, then writing more, then deleting everything. It's just crap. I hate that I can't write how I'm feeling on here, because I'm scared of offending people. But, I guess that's what happens when people actually read your blog, ha!

Anyway, so I'm going to go about this in a different way. It's not completely honest. Not at all. But it's also not offensive. I would rather be that person who has a fake personality online and never talks about negative things, then the person who offends people on a daily basis with their blog (Matt Walsh, anyone?).

SO. With that being said, this is a thank you post. It's a thank you to alllllll my lovely blog friends/readers. You guys have accepted my strange poems and pictures I have put into this cyberspace. You guys have had nice things to say about them and haven't labeled me as "emo". (If you don't know what I'm talking about, then you never will because I deleted those posts long ago haha.)

Thank you for letting me vent here! Thanks for just ignoring me if you disagree. Thanks for commenting if you agree. Thanks for not judging me, lecturing me, or telling me my opinion is not valid. Thanks for not telling me I'm being too dramatic. Thank you, thank you, thank you one million times.

Also, thanks for making me feel less alone. It's hard to be so different from those around you, but you guys have made me feel so at home. So many times I get home from an event feeling like I'm living in an alien world. I love coming to this space and immediately feeling supported. I have made some of my very favorite friends through blogging. You guys are the ones I feel like I can relate to, so thanks for connecting with me through this stupid blog and letting me be your friend IRL. You guys are seriously the best in the whole world.

Ugh. I just love you all so much. I don't even know how to put it into words, but just thank you for taking the time to comment, or to email me, or to connect with me in real life. I honestly would be the loneliest black sheep without all of you.

You guys make me feel at home and understood. That to me, is priceless.

The One With The Sprinkles

I had so much fun taking these pictures for Avarca. My original shoot idea fell through for various reasons, so I had to come up with something else. I was so worried it wasn't going to be as cool, but I actually think these turned out better than my original idea! So yay!

Ok, now can we please talk about these shoes? They are all over Pinterest and for good reason. SO COMFORTABLE YOU GUYS. I usually buy really cheap shoes, so it is seriously so nice to have a pair of really nice quality sandals. They are probably the nicest quality you can get for under $100! Anyway, I'm not being paid to say this or anything, I just really like them. And the yellow!!! So cute! Also weirdly something else I like about them is the fact that they don't show my toenails but still give my toes air? I don't know if that makes sense but basically I am super lazy and my toenails always look like crap, so I like that these hide them without making my feet sweaty. TMI?? 

Basically I am way obsessed with these. #avarcashavemyheart

TMI but I was walking out of the bathroom naked and Jake was on the couch. I walked out and he turned to me and said, "Eve" and held out his hand haha.

My mom trying to get my niece to eat: "Do you want to grow or do you want your body to shrink into nothingness??"

I was sitting on a stuffed animal across the room from my mom. There was a dresser between us. After a few minutes she said, "Emily, are you in this room still?"

My sister was telling me how much her husband loves boiled peanuts. They were telling me not to get it confused with boiled penis right as I was putting it into the "gifts to get people" note in my phone. Needless to say I accidentally wrote "Cajun boiled penis" instead hahahah.
