Will The Real Slim Shady Please Stand Up?

Friday, October 30, 2015

On Wednesday everyone at my work dressed up. I was playing around with being what you'll see here tomorrow, or Eminem. I decided to be Eminem because a coworker told me it would be unexpected. Let me just say, it was UNEXPECTED. I earned major street credit lol. This one kid even tried to quiz me and was like, "Hey, what's the name of your costume?" I said, "Eminem." He was like, "Well yeah, but what's his real name?" I said, "Marshall Mathers." BAM. Weren't expecting me to know that one, were you?! Throughout the day people were like, "I didn't even recognize you!!!" Or simply, "Slim Shadyyyyyyy!!!!!!" It was awesome.

Lol. Such an entertaining day.

I debated whether or not I should rap Lose Yourself, but I decided not to because I'm still getting over my cold. One day though, I'll grace the world with my performance ;) I'm debating making a video or just doing it live. I can't decide what would be better.

Anyway, just wanted to document these photos on the internets, cause you know. Gotta be a real person and everything ;)

Hijacked.

Thursday, October 29, 2015
Guys, I went to the dentist a few weeks ago, and my teeth still randomly hurt where I got fillings. Is this normal? Need advice ASAP.

ALSO. I am hijacking this post from Jake. He was supposed to try out this product and review it, but I tried it once on my bangs and am now hooked. #sorrynotsorry. Probably the thing I hate most about having bangs is when there are spaces in them and no one tells me and then important pictures are taken. I look at those pictures for the rest of my life and regret not whipping out a mirror to make sure my bangs were on point. FML.

I used to just rat the underside of my bangs, but it looked horrible so I stopped. Then, I started carrying a little plastic comb in my bag, but I always forgot to check and make sure they looked ok. NOW ENTER LAYRITE CEMENT. I split my bangs into and upper and lower section. I use the tiniest, baby amount of this shiz on the lower section, comb it out, and then drop the upper section. WORKS LIKE A CHARM.

So, if you're in the market for a way to keep your bangs space-free, I'd recommend this stuff. Anyway, now that I've successfully hijacked a post that's supposed to be about guys, I figured I would make a collage about things I would buy if I wasn't broke af. Literally every paycheck I have goes to bills and our New York fund. Ha! #gottadowhatyougottado. Anyway, so here are some stocking stuffers I would snatch Jake if I had any expendable cash.

Aftershave: It just sounds classy. Beard trimming scissors: The pair I currently use on Jake's sideburns are so blunt. Beard comb: What would be cooler than watching someone literally comb their beard?! Hair pomade: Jake loves pomade. Face wash: Jake uses my Say Yes To Tomatoes face wips, so it would be interesting to see how he likes his own ;). Peppermint body wash: I currently use peppermint shampoo and conditioner and it's my FAVORITE. I love the fresh clean feeling it gives my scalp, so I bet this stuff is money.

Sorry for the hijack, but hopefully I made up for it at the end! If any of you gals have bang/hair tips plz let me know. My hair is so nappy right now it needs some serious TLC.

Last Camping Trip :/

Wednesday, October 28, 2015
Guys, I'm kind of sad about this. We just had what is probably going to be our last camping trip for a very, very long time! Once we're in the city I plan to stay there for as long as possible lol. And how do you go camping while living in a 500 foot studio apartment with no car? These are the things that keep me up at night.

Anyway, went camping at Payson Lakes Campground. We drove a part of the Nebo Loop and it was SO PRETTY.

Cotopaxi backpacks are literally the best. I don't use a purse anymore haha.

We spent the evening walking around the lake and chatting. It was so pretty. The water was crystal clear and there weren't very many people around.

This sign was all, "Don't dive off this cliff!" and there were just like, tons of rocks at the bottom hahahaha. Like the rocks weren't enough!

Readathon with bae!

We had cinnamon rolls in oranges for breakfast! I was surprised at how well they turned out. Jake said it was the highlight of the camping trip lol.

I will miss camping, for sure! But exploring the city will be fun too :)

Sip N

Tuesday, October 27, 2015
Sip N is one of those places that have been on my Utah bucket list for a while. I assumed I would never get to it, because hello, when am I ever in Payson? It's like an hour drive from my house. I'll do crazy things for food, but driving an hour to taste a cookie seemed a little extreme!

However, the food Gods were shining down on me this past weekend, because we went camping in... wait for it... PAYSON. Or at Payson Lake Campground, anyway. The second I realized we would be in Payson, I was like, "JAKE WE MUST STOP AND TRY THIS COOKIE." Being the mellowest person alive, he was like, "Ok."

We already ate lunch (Taco Bell, are you surprised?) so I just got the cookie. Jake got a drink called "The Other Wife" which was Dr. Pepper, cream, and some flavor. We made endless jokes like, "Can I try some of your Other Wife?" "How's your Other Wife?" Lol.

Here it is, ladies and gentlemen. The Oreo cookie I have been waiting 10 months to try! The verdict: It was AMAZING. I wouldn't drive specifically to Payson for it, but if I was in a 15 minute vicinity I would make it a top priority for sure. It's big enough and sweet enough to share. Also, they have mint flavor, which I partially regret not getting.

Also, how awkward is that first picture of me? I have my goal of getting more pictures with people in them ya know, but like the lighting was so horrible. There is literally a light streak across my face! Ha!

ANYWAY. Add the Oreo cookie from Sip N to your Utah bucket list. You won't regret it!
