snapshots

Ever since I got my new camera I've been obsessed with taking random pictures of everything haha. Here are a few snapshots of what we've been up to lately!

Riding bikes on the new trail. Sometimes we decided to be really cute and ride into the sunset. It's adorable.

We made a delicious breakfast on Sunday, and I had to compare my "bacon" to Jake's bacon. It's literally the fakest looking meat I've ever seen! Ha!

Hokulia has the best snow cones ever. This was a small! Literally if you live in Utah and you haven't had one, you must try one before the summer ends.

BEST PUMPKIN CHEESECAKE AT THIS PLACE. BEST CHEESECAKE.

Cutest new coat from SheInside!! I've always wanted a yellow coat, and now I have one and am dying of happiness.

Cake balls! Bake a red velvet cake, crumble it in a bowl, mix it with a can of cream cheese frosting, roll into a ball, put in the fridge for a couple hours, then roll in melted chocolate bark. You're welcome. They're literally the best ever. 

These days have been pretty good! We're headed out to New York on Thursday and I couldn't be more excited!

Is anyone else annoyed with the quality blogger gives photographs? I hate it, because it always makes them look grainy and like, weirdly sharpened? Maybe it's just me.

Anyways. These are from a little test shoot me and my friend did the other day. I wasn't using my own camera, so things were a little shaky, but I just ordered a new one! So, I'm excited to go back when I shoot bridals! I think the field is sooo pretty and works so well as a location.

If you want pictures done for graduation, engagements, wedding, etc., shoot me an email! I don't have like, a pricing list or anything. But, just shoot me and email and we can work something out.

I've decided to plow through packets this summer. So, wish me luck! I'm struggling with my current one, just because I don't really understand the professor's grading style yet, but I'm determining that today and then hopefully I'll be done by the end of the week. On to the next!

But really, I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to figure out if I'm actually capable of what I think I'm capable of. I feel like that was what upset me the most with not getting financial aid or a job, just never know... (side note: I was going to type "knowing" but literally in the middle of typing it, I got a phone call for a job interview. Ha! But anyways...) just never knowing if I can do what I think I can do, or if I'm just dreaming big. So, I'm excited to have the opportunity to be able to graduate on my 21st birthday. I'm excited to see if I can do what I think I can do.

Little bit of a tangent there... but I guess I'm just excited to *hopefully* graduate on my birthday, and more so that I have the opportunity to actually do it (if I dedicate myself enough).

Lots of words today, apparently.

sundays. sun daze.

I mainly took these because I wanted to try the A Beautiful Mess photoshop actions. I feel like I like them, but I think I'll stick to my own editing unless they're whatever pictures like this. They are pretty helpful though!

I feel like every day feels like the weekend when it's summer. Like, I literally only know what day it is because of my birth control packet haha. #summerlife

But, really. I'm doing a little mini practice shoot tonight, so that will be fun and give me something to do. I've been doing a lot of those weird little chores you never get to, ya know? Lots of things like sewing loose buttons back on clothes and lint rolling the bedspread... AKA I need a job.

But, downtime is nice I suppose. I've made another ranting video, but I feel like an idiot when I watch them so I'm not sure if I'll post it or not haha. Anyways, four cheers for excessive amounts of free time spent doing semi-productive things.

currently...

... loving these waffles and these pancakes (with 1 tbsp of vanilla added).

... riding bikes on the new bike trail and enjoying the warm summer weather.

... long, slow mornings eating strawberries with syrup drizzle and watching teen soaps.

... home manicures and pedicures. Changing up the black toe nails and adding spring sparkle to my hands while I can still have painted nails. 

So far this summer has been a slow one filled with lots of much needed relaxing (aka teen soaps, organizing, new recipes, and time with the beeb). Online school has been going fine. Hopefully a job will be coming into the picture soon.

Excited for wedding season, our trip to New York, online school, and getting a new camera!
