From the day we made a pizza.

Starbuck’s Robots:
Also, let’s take a minute a focus on the Starbuck’s apron. Remember when I worked there? Yes. Me too. I absolutely hate Starbuck’s. It’s not because I’m hipster; it’s simply because it’s a terrible company.

Example #1:
Customer walks in.
(greet them before they get to the counter)
Employee: “Hello! Welcome to Starbuck’s how are you doing today?”
Customer: “Good! I would just like a white chocolate mocha with non-fat milk.”
Employee: “Ok, did you want that hot or iced?”
Customer: “Hot.”
Employee: “Ok, and what size would you like that?”
Customer: “16 oz”
Employee: “Ok, would you like an extra shot in that?” (you’re not supposed to mention that extra shots are 75 cents) (also, every time i didn’t offer an extra shot and my manager overheard, she would have a five minute conversation with me about how to offer extra shots.)
Customer: “No, thank you.”
Employee: “Can I warm you up a cinnamon roll to go with that mocha? They’re supppppper good!” (likewise, every time i didn’t offer a pastry, my manager would whisper in my ear (while i’m speaking with a customer) “pastries pastries pastries”. like, seriously how annoying.”
Customer: “No, thank you.”
Employee: “Ok, that will be 5.69.”

Honestly, by that time the customer is sick of answering your stupid questions. I used to work at a smaller coffee shop, and the relationship with customers was so much better there. I mean you could talk to them about whatever you wanted, instead of being a Starbuck’s robot.

Not to mention all of the side work.
Whipped creams: you have to do exact ratios of vanilla and heavy cream. Then, you have to shake it 8 times. No, not 7. No, not 10. You have to shake it 8 times.
Pastries: You have to mark the time you put out new pastries. Then, once that time experiences, you throw them away. You are not allowed to eat them. You simply throw them in the trash, which is stupid. Also, when you put new pastries out, you can’t put them on the same plate as the old ones. You have to put the new ones out, and then transfer the old ones to a tinier plate and balance the tinier plate on the back of the old plate... IT’S THE DUMBEST.
Lobby slides: You set a timer and clean the lobby every ten minutes.
Clocking in and clocking out: If you are earlier or later than 5 minutes to you shift, it will not let you clock in. You either have to wait until your shift officially starts, or if you are late, you have to get a manager to enter a certain code...

Basically, this post is dumb because me and Jake made pizza and it was delicious and life was cool and I no longer work at Starbuck’s so thank heavens for that. But, none the less, I shall never go there again.

Support your local coffee shops, folks.
Starbuck’s doesn’t even recycle.

XOXO

Mainly, I don’t know why people care so much about what other people do. There is probably some psychological phenomenon I will learn about in five years, but for now I just am annoyed but the majority of people who are up in my bizzzzz.
For example, today I walking on campus. Upon approaching the stairs I hear a teacher say, “That skirt’s a little too short for BYU...” and the literally stops walking to look at it.
Ok. Three things.
1.) Why do you care how short my skirt is? I mean, it’s not like I am your student, it’s not like you can send me home to change, it’s not like boys are losing their virginity when I walk by. Simply 2-3 inches of above my knee is exposed.
2.) Why are you telling me what you think? Do you think I came to school hoping I would hear your opinion about my outfit choice? Do you think I am going to throw this dress away or not wear it again? No and no.
3.) If you do care about the lengths of student’s skirts that much, and if you do feel a need to voice it, why don’t you do something about it? Such as tell me not to wear it again, or tell me to go to the dean’s office. I mean, how effective is it to tell a student their skirt is too short (but, not even directly, mind you, more of a thought said out loud to oneself) but then not take any corrective measure?

I don’t know. I love my school and everything, but sometimes the people here get to me. I mean, if a girl is wearing a tank top, or a non-to-the-knee skirt, I don’t understand how that negatively influences you life. Maybe it’s just me though.

Whatever.

I’m going to study astronomy now.

5 things I would tell my 16 year old self:
1.) Dye the tips of your hair blue.
2.) Don’t skip French with that kid.
3.) That other kid will get back on drugs and ditch you on prom night and you will waste your Spill Canvas concert tickets for nothing.
4.) Pierce your nose.
5.) Take note that you are going to marry the boy in your ceramics class.

Photos from the time we went somewhere.
Also, in plants, trying to take a photo with the remote and failing miserably.

Describe 3 legitimate fears you have:
1.) Finding out I have a mental illness, because then all my plans get ruined. However, my mother says I am past the age of mental illness determining... aka if I had one I would know by now.
2.) Open water. Like, being in a situation where you are in a boat/floating in the ocean and can’t see any land. Because something could grab your leg and kill you. Because of this, I refuse to go on any cruise (like, literally) and also cried when our plane experienced turbulence while flying home from Hawaii. Thank everything it was at night and I couldn’t see the water.
3.) I can’t think of a third, but when I was younger, I was always scared that there was some alternate universe that required a password to get in, or like some sort of sequence. Sort of like the bank in Harry Potter, where they have to tap the bricks in a certain order for it to open. Well, I was always scared that there was like an alternate world in our world, and I would accidentally do their password and be sucked into it. For example: If their password was washing your hand while thinking about making a tuna sandwich and licking your lips while wearing a blue shirt. Like, while I was doing anything, I would sometimes worry that I was actually doing something that would transfer me to an alternate universe.
4.) I also used to be scared that there were people living underneath my bed, and still to this day I can’t have my foot hanging off the mattress. Sometimes when it happened on accident, I used to have to convince myself that they thought it was just a painting hanging on their wall and so they wouldn’t know I was living above them.
Weird kid, I know.

The greatest amount of physical pain I have ever endured:
I really haven’t endured that much physical pain. Maybe this experience was the most recent, so I remember it best.
However, a couple weeks ago I woke up with really bad cramps. We all know how that is. But, they were especially terrible. It felt like I had food poisoning + cramps (TMI, sorry) and so I was like glued to the bathroom. However, I obviously didn’t have food poisoning, so that was annoying. But I kept thinking I was going to have diarrhea, but then as soon as I sat down I would feel like I had to throw up, so I would dry heave and vomit bile, and then on top of all of this I had the worst cramps ever.
My mom works at a Women’s Health center, so she threw some hot pads on my stomach and back and gave me some Ibuprofen and rushed me in. The doctor put me on birth control for having severe cramps, and that’s where I am at today, folks.

Also, I cut my chin open once, and slammed my pinky in a car door, but I haven’t ever broken a bone or anything, so I’ve been super fortunate to not of had to endure lots of pain.

From the time we went to Super Target and the sunset was really beautiful.

Ok, also, I am not doing this 30 day blog challenge for real, but I supposed it gives me something to blog about.

Ten random facts about myself:
I’m obsessed with Trixie and J.
I am 19 years old. I really love Spokane, Washington.
I really love Seattle. I really love traveling.
I change my mind very often.
I have strong opinions.
I like to listen to people talk about traveling.
My favorite sound is a tie between the sound of a York Peppermint Pattie ripping by my ear, and a black woman laughing.
I am super paranoid and constantly think about the worst thing that could happen in the given moment.

The truth is, here is my list of things to blog about:
  • weddings
  • teaching/the school system
  • boy who don’t pay
  • freud’s theory that the past determines the future
  • adler’s theory that the present determines the past

Honestly, I don’t really want to blog about those things anymore. They can all be explained  in three sentences.
  • weddings are stupid and the only reason everyone has one is because it isn’t socially acceptable to not have one. this is stupid, because since when does society dictate our life? oh yeah, since always.
  • i just went to 12 years of generals. now, i am paying 10,000 (or up) to take more generals. ask me how i feel about that.
  • if you are a boy taking a girl somewhere, you pay for her. especially if it’s a date, you better pay for her. end of story.
  • maybe the past does determine the future, because the choices you make lead you to where you are today. but that would mean that each experience matters. i don’t know how i feel about that.
  • maybe the present determines that past, because you can remember things and shape them to be a good experience or a bad experience. i like thinking of it like that, because it makes it seem like we have the ultimate control over everything that happens to us. even though we don’t, but we can still choose how to let events affect us and how we react to them.

Basically, you just read five days worth of blogging in under five minutes.
Doesn’t it make blogging seem useless?
Like, who cares about someone else’s thoughts.

Unless you are Taza and Husband of course, then everyone cares about everything, including where you buy your silverware, and how you braid your bangs.

Lately, my lips are dry and I’m eating half of my meals.

There are 24 days of class left and I’m annoying with 87% percent of humanity.

As far as life goes, it consists of school, work, and hanging out with JC.

Activities err day, folks.

Currently, our hang out streak is... 74 days in a row.

Also, can we just focus on the fact that life is so amazing? I mean, I could have ended up dating some fool, and instead I am dating the world’s nicest/great/most awesome human. Like, literally though. Everyone needs a JC. It’s a thing.

I don’t know. I guess life is just weird sometimes. The kids who were the shiz in high school aren’t the shiz now, and nobody knows why. They just don’t want the same things anymore, I guess.

And it’s ok. Because it’s their life and they can do what they want with it. But, it’s also just interesting where everyone is now. I mean, some are married and having babies and others are having babies and not married and others are doing drugs or in rehab or staring at walls contemplating death. It’s just strange.

Mainly, I’m just so freaking glad I’m dating Jake and not the other boys. None of them even come close to a Jake. Like, they are in the Andromeda Galaxy, and that’s the closest they will ever come to being a Jake.

Maybe, I’m just obsessed, or maybe the universe decided it would finally be a good idea to give me a nice man.

Either way, I’m happy.

India, you guys.

It’s one of those things that’s hard to talk about most times.

Sort of like when you over hear conversations in cafes and wonder if they are recovering anorexics or teamers.
