Mainly, I don’t know why people care so much about what other people do. There is probably some psychological phenomenon I will learn about in five years, but for now I just am annoyed but the majority of people who are up in my bizzzzz.
For example, today I walking on campus. Upon approaching the stairs I hear a teacher say, “That skirt’s a little too short for BYU...” and the literally stops walking to look at it.
Ok. Three things.
1.) Why do you care how short my skirt is? I mean, it’s not like I am your student, it’s not like you can send me home to change, it’s not like boys are losing their virginity when I walk by. Simply 2-3 inches of above my knee is exposed.
2.) Why are you telling me what you think? Do you think I came to school hoping I would hear your opinion about my outfit choice? Do you think I am going to throw this dress away or not wear it again? No and no.
3.) If you do care about the lengths of student’s skirts that much, and if you do feel a need to voice it, why don’t you do something about it? Such as tell me not to wear it again, or tell me to go to the dean’s office. I mean, how effective is it to tell a student their skirt is too short (but, not even directly, mind you, more of a thought said out loud to oneself) but then not take any corrective measure?

I don’t know. I love my school and everything, but sometimes the people here get to me. I mean, if a girl is wearing a tank top, or a non-to-the-knee skirt, I don’t understand how that negatively influences you life. Maybe it’s just me though.

Whatever.

I’m going to study astronomy now.

XOXO
