Just some photos I took because I wanted to get my film developed lol. I actually did a little thing for mother's day with the last 8 photos, but it's not necessary to be posted.
Mainly, just know that me and Trixie love you.
Also, I was talking to a wise woman today and she said this: "We don't get older, we just get better." Like, how brilliant is that? Maybe being younger means we can go more places and look more attractive, but those things are so fickle and unimportant in the grand scheme of things. As we get older we learn more about the world. We learn how to communicate with each other effectively. We learn that there are lots of people in the world. We learn what's really important and where we need to focus our time.
It's a shame that growing older is so often considered a negative event. In reality, I think it's completely appropriate that we have birthday celebrations. It is a celebration! We are becoming better at communicating and relating to others. We are becoming the best we can be! What's wrong with that?!
XOXO

I love your perspective on age. That lady who told you that is definitely wise.
ReplyDeleteIts sad that as women especially, we dread getting older. I'll admit I'm leery of it, but I also want to age gracefully. With the years comes lessons learned and a wisdom you cannot earn with youth. You pay for it with your years, but I believe its something well worth aging for. I've seen it in my mom, and its inspiring!
